A significant milestone has been reached for Taylor Made Joinery Interiors Limited (TMJ Interiors) a leading joinery business established in 1981 by James Taylor, as it embarks on a management buyout (MBO). With a team of over 200 dedicated employees, the company has established itself as a trusted name in the industry, known for its commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative solutions. It’s prestigious portfolio includes Windsor Castle, 2012 Olympic Park, the Royal Opera House, Bloomberg’s London HQ and the Millenium Ceiling at St Edmundsbury Cathedral to name a few.
The MBO, led by Tim Coll, Sarah Warren and Kevin Pryke, marks a new chapter in the company’s rich history. This strategic move will empower the management team to drive the business forward while maintaining the core values that have contributed to its success over the past four decades.
“After building TMJ for the past 4 decades, I am pleased the company legacy will continue” said James “this is an exciting opportunity for the Management Team and I look forward to supporting them as they navigate through this evolution”
The company will also see Tim move into the role of Managing Director under the guidance of James as Chairman, whilst continuing to support the Management Team with his wealth of knowledge, attention to detail and experience.
“Our goal is to build on the strong foundation laid out by James Taylor,” said Tim Coll, Contracts Director “We are excited to enhance our services and continue investing in our talented team, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.”
The transition will bring increased operational efficiency and continued innovation, positioning TMJ Interiors for sustainable growth in the years ahead. The team remains committed to upholding the family values and “grow our own” ethos that have been integral to the company’s success since it was established.
