A family-run housebuilding company is celebrating being included on the shortlist for one of the construction industry’s most prestigious awards.
Bennett Homes, which is headquartered at Nowton near Bury St Edmunds, has been selected as a finalist in the House Builder of the Year category in the Construction Awards of Excellence, organised by the National Federation of Builders. The category covers housebuilders creating more than 35 homes per year.
The company has been building high quality, traditionally-built properties across East Anglia for 75 years and won numerous awards for its first-class customer service which includes unique initiatives such as a complimentary Handyman Service shortly after moving-in day to do some of the jobs that turn a house into a home.
Edward Parker, Managing Director of Bennett Homes said: “We are delighted to be a finalist in the House Builder of the Year category in this year’s Construction Awards of Excellence. Our entry covered a number of aspects of our operation including commitment to the environment, use of technology, build quality and innovative thinking in response to the changing market.
“Whilst we hope to be announcing further success next Spring when the winners are announced, to have been selected for the shortlist is a great accolade in itself and testament to the hard work of our skilled and loyal team of staff who have gone the extra mile in a challenging year.”
Bennett Homes has a number of current developments including: The Cricketers at Swardeston, Norfolk; St Edmund’s Park, Hunstanton Norfolk; Milestones, Poringland, Norfolk and The Alders, Arlesford, Essex.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony held in London on 7th April 2022.
