Award-winning developer, Hopkins Homes, has received the Silver Employer Recognition Award in recognition of the company’s support for the Armed Forces Community.
The Employer Recognition Scheme recognises organisations who pledge, demonstrate and advocate their support for the defence community and the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to the businesses.
Hopkins Homes is proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant to commit its support to the Armed Forces Community, firstly achieving bronze level accreditation and now silver level.
Lee Barnard, Group Managing Director of Hopkins Homes, said: “As a multi award-winning property developer, we always want to attract the best talent, people who strive for excellence, who can provide strong leadership and bring out the best in others.
“We recognise those are the same qualities and skills often inherent in services personnel and who are now transitioning into other careers. We are therefore immensely proud to receive the Silver Award and remain committed in our support of the MOD Careers in Transition scheme.”
Many of Hopkins Homes and sister company Hopkins & Moore developments are within easy reach of bases within the East Anglian region and the company regularly welcome serving military members and their families to the new communities for which the companies are renown.
Hopkins Homes also offers the Government funded Forces Help to Buy scheme, which provides support to service personnel to buy their first home or move to another property on assignment if their family’s situation changes.
Under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, employers support Defence personnel and encourage others to do the same. The scheme has three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold for organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support for Defence and the Armed Forces community.
