A veteran civil engineer has joined an Essex building contractor as Technical Director, bringing with him more than 40 years’ experience in the sector.
Jim Rudd has seen in the New Year with new employer Rose Group, having previously worked across numerous senior roles at other local consultancies.
As Technical Director, Jim will oversee design and technical compliance across Rose Group’s planning, architectural and engineering functions.
He said: “Rose’s strong family ethos and the breadth of its work were key factors in my decision to join.
“I’m excited to get started and to bring my civil engineering and drainage design experience in-house, working closely with the technical team to deliver the strongest combined outcomes for our clients.”
The move comes as Rose targets “continued evolution” of its business, with Jim’s addition hoped to enable a more integrated and considered approach to project delivery.
It is also hoped the appointment will support compliance ahead of the Future Homes Standard, which is expected to be published by the government later in January.
Tom Rose, Director of Rose Group, added: “This expansion significantly strengthens our ability to support both clients and internal project teams through fully integrated design solutions.
“It gives us greater control over co-ordination, cost certainty, and sustainability outcomes – an increasingly important focus as the industry continues to prioritise efficiency and environmental responsibility.”
