An Ipswich architecture firm has celebrated a record-breaking year of fundraising in support of a local young people’s charity, raising more than £35,000.
KLH Architects have raised an incredible £35,330 for Inspire in 2025, the highest amount its team has ever raised for its charity of the year.
Its staff put on a host of events, coined the Big Charity Year, with fundraisers including a continental cycling challenge and a traditional Bavarian Oktoberfest celebration.
Bryan Wybrow, Director of KLH Architects, said: “KLH Architects have had an incredible year supporting Inspire, the team spirit that has evolved as we’ve taken part in our charity events is a credit to our team and is recognised in the amazing sum we’ve been able to donate.”
The fundraising teed off with KLH’s annual golf day at Seckford Hall, before team members Vanessa and Lewis took to the skies for a tandem skydive at Beccles Airfield in May.
A whistle-stop tour of the Netherlands then followed in a three-day, 250-mile cycling challenge, before team members once again reached new heights by taking on the Welsh Three Peaks.
The year ended with a clang of steins at its Oktoberfest party, where 400 guests raised a glass to Inspire at the charity’s dome venue in Lindbergh Road.
Inspire is a Suffolk charity dedicated to empowering under 25s to achieve a better future, supporting more than 7,000 young people every year.
Andy Crump, CEO of Inspire, said: “The team at KLH has taken on challenge after challenge this year.
“They’ve cycled, walked, ran, jumped out of planes, and hosted a brilliant Oktoberfest celebration.
“Together they’ve raised more than £30,000 for Inspire. It really is an extraordinary effort from an extraordinary group of people.
“This support is about so much more than the money. It will give young people access to the mental health support they need when life feels tough.
“It will help them build the skills and confidence for work and independence.
“It will give them the space to try new things and feel supported in facing whatever comes next.
“What KLH has achieved will change the lives of young people here in Suffolk and we are so grateful for their incredible commitment and for believing in what we do as a charity.”
