Hopkins Homes have purchased a 23-acre plot of land at Horksley Manor in Essex – with the plan to build 100 new homes on the site.
The development will include 30 affordable homes and more than five hectares of public open space, including a new community allotment and a Scouts and Guides hut.
Duncan Jackson, Managing Director of Hopkins Homes, part of the untypical group, said: “Our track record of creating distinctive new homes, reinforced by our five-star customer satisfaction rating, has established Hopkins Homes as a trusted choice for landowners throughout East Anglia.
“With sustainability at the core of our developments, we’re committed to building communities that thrive for generations.
“Our most recent acquisition in Great Horkesley will be no exception, with placemaking at its heart and a range of distinctive new homes that give a nod to our heritage whilst providing energy efficient modern living.”
The sale of the land, on behalf of Horksley Heath Limited, was overseen by Ellisons, which played a key role in structuring the complex Section 106 agreement.
Chris Harvey, Partner at Ellisons, said: “This transaction required a strategic approach to planning obligations and deal structuring.
“We are pleased to have guided Horkesley Heath Limited through the process, ensuring a smooth and commercially sound outcome.”
A spokesperson for Horkesley Heath Limited added: “We are grateful for the professionalism and dedication of the Ellisons team.
“Their expertise and proactive support were instrumental in ensuring the transaction ran smoothly.
“We look forward to seeing Hopkins Homes bring much-needed housing to the area.”
