Hundreds of members of the local construction sector are set to come together for a charitable Bavarian bash to celebrate Oktoberfest.

The KLH Architects’ event will see 400 people working across the construction industry and associated sectors come together at Inspire’s Dome in Lindbergh Road on Friday, October 24.

It comes as part of KLH’s Big Charity Year series of events, raising vital funds for Inspire and its services delivered across the county for young people.

Will Ludkin at KLH Architects, said: “All of us at KLH are looking forward to donning our lederhosen and dirndl and raising a stein for a fantastic cause.

“This will be the final event in our busy fundraising calendar – with challenges like the Three Welsh Peaks and a cycling tour of Holland definitely giving us a reason to celebrate.

“The work Inspire does in transforming the lives of young people in our county is incredible – so it is our pleasure to not only raise money for them, but invite their amazing staff to join us on the day.”

We’re proud to be working with a host of Suffolk businesses to deliver the evening – with a selection of Bavarian street food on offer thanks to Jamie Lee Smith Catering, whilst beer will be provided by Humber Doucy Brewery, based near Stowmarket.

Local act The Oompah Band will provide the final piece of the Bavarian beer hall puzzle, teleporting guests to the heartland of the annual festival.

Will added: “Together, Jamie, the band and the team at Humber Doucy are going to help us serve up a ‘wunderbar’ evening.

“But none of this would be possible without the support of our amazing sponsors and all of those who have donated so far.

“If you’re a construction business wanting to join in, make sure to book soon to avoid disappointment.”

Tickets for the event – which include a personalised stein and a German meal – remain available alongside silver and bronze sponsorship packages.
