A leading construction and development company is celebrating after two of its staff scooped prizes at the Essex Construction Training Association (ECTA) Trainee Awards.Amie McCartney, Assistant Buyer of Construction at Anderson, won the support and admin category while Liam Havard-Cummings, ICT Support Technician came highly commended in technical operations.Now in its sixth year, the ECTA awards highlight the achievements of trainee staff at construction companies across Essex.Training Manager at Anderson, Steve Hammond, said: “These individuals have shown commitment, initiative and have performed over and above what is required.“We have had many successful years at the trainee awards I am pleased that we have once again received well deserved recognition.“It is always a pleasure to hear that members of our team have been recognised for exceptional work and received awards, particularly when they are trainees.“At Anderson we like to nurture talent to help people develop strong career paths that keep them growing within our company. Our congratulations go to both Amie and Liam who are superb additions to our team.”Amie McCartney joined Anderson almost a year ago after working in an assistant buyer role for a previous construction firm. She recently achieved her CIPS Level 4 diploma in procurement and supply.She said: “I have a lot of support and mentoring at Anderson which is helping me develop my skills and confidence. I am delighted with the award recognition and hope to continue to thrive at a company I really enjoy working for.”Liam joined Anderson a year ago and, in his role, provides line support in office to remote sites, installing and maintaining mobile devices, tablets, laptops, printers and servers across the company.He said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have been recognised by these awards. I love every minute of working for Anderson, and this is a superb acknowledgement of my dedication to learning and developing within the business.”
