Site managers across the region have been celebrating after scooping NHBC Pride in the Job awards.
The awards, dubbed ‘the Oscars of the housebuilding industry’, recognise site managers who demonstrate exceptional standards in leadership, organisation, health and safety and attention to detail.
At Hopkins Homes, which is part of the untypical Group, four site managers won awards in East Anglia.
These included Luke Catchpole at Church Farm in Drayton, Barry Illman at Kingsfleet in Thetford, Martin Boyce at Loddon Rise in Loddon and Andrew Webb at Hopkins Homes at Wixams in Bedfordshire.
Ben Fewsdale, Regional Managing Director for untypical’s Anglia region, said: “These awards recognise the people behind our developments who work tirelessly to deliver high-quality homes for our customers.
“To see four of our site managers recognised by NHBC, including three in Norfolk, is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the pride, care and attention they bring to their work every day.
“Buying a new home is one of the most important decisions people make, and we remain committed to ensuring our customers receive the highest standards of quality throughout their journey with us.”

At Barratt Homes, site manager Lizz Wakefield, 41, won a Pride in the Job award for her work at the Alconbury Weald development in Cambridgeshire.
Lizz said: “It feels incredible. We have put a lot of time and effort into the site and knowing that our dedication has been rewarded with such an honourable award is the icing on the cake.
“We actively try our best to deliver high-quality homes and genuinely care about the homes we are handing over to our customers.”

Craig Gillies, 33, at David Wilson Homes, which along with Barratt Homes is part of Barratt Redrow Plc, won an award for his work at the Ramsey Park development in Cambridgeshire.
“It’s a great feeling to know that everyone’s hard work has been recognised,” he said.
“My favourite part of Ramsey Park is the consistency of the trades.
“We use the same people day in, day out and have a great working relationship, which is shown in the high-quality work they produce.”

Four site managers at Bloor Homes were also recognised with a Pride in the Job Award – John Crewdson at Bloor Homes at Felixstowe, Matthew Thurston at Thurston Grove in Bury St Edmunds, Derek Lewies at Bentley Gardens in Basildon and Lee Burdett at Elsenham Park in Elsenham.
Richard Oldroyd, Chief Operating Officer at Bloor Homes said: “Our congratulations go to all the outstanding site managers who have been honoured in this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
“Delivering the high quality homes and first class experience that our customers deserve is central to everything we do – the winning site managers have demonstrated skill, leadership and relentless commitment in pursuit of this, supported by their wider site teams.
“Our thanks go to NHBC for acknowledging the contribution they are making to the industry.”
