Staff at a national housebuilder are embarking on a 24-hour running challenge to support the work of two homeless charities in Norfolk.

A team of East Anglia-based staff at Lovell, part of the Morgan Sindall Group, will run or walk their way around Lynnsport’s Olympic-sized running track in King’s Lynn during the grueling round-the-clock challenge.

The event – starting on Friday, June 5 – has been organised in partnership with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

All monies raised will be shared between The Purfleet Trust and St Martins.

Sasha Bainbridge, Regional Partnerships Director at Lovell, said: “Construction workers can be disproportionately impacted by poor mental health, which can lead to an increase in homelessness.

“It’s so important that we do what we can to raise awareness and raise funds for these organisations that are doing amazing work at helping people facing these issues.”

At least two runners will be on the track at any one time, with fundraisers taking on a half-hour slot over the course of the day.

Keen runners and fundraisers can also join in the action by contacting the Lovell team to book a slot.
