Greater Anglia came under public ownership following renationalisation on October 12, with Transport UK continuing to operate other franchises including West Midlands Trains, East Midlands Railway and Merseyrail.

It is now owned by DfT Operator Limited, alongside fellow Anglian line c2c and numerous other former private franchises nationwide.

The services will continue to be branded as Greater Anglia until the nationwide rollout of Great British Railways.
