An Ipswich chartered surveyors’ charity golf day which has been running for more than 40 years has raised another £1,500 for good causes.
Castons’ charity golf day has been a regular summer event at the company for decades – raising more than £80,000 for a variety of charities over the years.
This year’s event took place at Ipswich Golf Club, with 24 teams of four talking to the tee.
A total of 23 construction companies took part in the charity event.

All money raised from this year’s event will go to The Brain Tumour Charity and Cancer Support UK.
Tim Tomkins, Director at Castons said: “This year’s golf day was another huge success – it’s a real highlight of the year at Castons.
“The golf day has been running for more than 40 years and has raised thousands for a variety of charities.
“It’s a great way for people to get together, have some fun on the golf course and to raise some money for good causes.

“We would like to thank all those who came along to take part and for the support the charity golf day has received.
“We are proud to have raised even more money for charity and hope the funds raised will make a big difference to people’s lives.”
This year’s winners were Castons B Team, comprising former partners at the firm, with Hoopers Architects coming runners-up.
