Gavin Houghton, 37, is based at Allison Homes Eastern Counties’ regional office in Norwich and first joined the company in 2020.
His career began at an engineering consultancy, where he worked up from a CAD Technician to Senior Engineer over 11 years. Gavin then worked for Hopkins Homes for five years and progressed to Head of Technical.
Gavin, from Suffolk, said: “I joined as Technical Manager and was one of just two employees in Eastern Counties. Ever since, I have been the technical lead in the region and actively supported development of the business and teams here.”
In his role as Head of Technical, Gavin participates in strategic and project specific meetings, works with the Senior Management Team to evolve the business, and directly assists the Technical Team to ensure objectives remain on target.
Gavin added: “An important part of my role is understanding industry changes, making sure schemes are up to regulation and standard, and supporting the development of technical solutions that are cost effective, as well as aiding projects from conception through to delivery on site.
