Suffolk Joint Construction Committee (SJCC) is hosting its annual dinner this week – a ‘highlight of the year’ for the organisation.
The SJCC, which was established in 1954, champions the county’s building industry, representing everyone from architects and quantity surveyors to contractors and building control.
It acts as a forum for the industry in Suffolk, promoting local construction companies, lobbying on their behalf and offering networking opportunities.
Its annual dinner takes place on October 7 at Trinity Park in Ipswich.

Chairman Andy Laflin said: “The committee is a real cross section of the industry and has added many other disciplines over the years.
“The SJCC’s job is fairly simple, to support the industry in Suffolk in any way we can.
“We can speak as a whole group for those in construction, amplifying their collective voice.
“Our popular annual dinner is the highlight of the year, the chance to get together and celebrate everything that has been achieved over the year.
“There are presentations, awards, great food and an opportunity to meet other construction professionals and collaborate with them.
“It’s the biggest event of our year.”
