Regional housebuilder joins scheme giving them greater access to Homes England land.
East Anglian house builder Denbury Homes has been approved by Homes England, the Government’s housing and regeneration agency, as part of its Delivery Partner, Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).
Joining the Delivery Partner DPS involves a rigorous assessment process; now approved, Denbury Homes will have greater access to land owned by Homes England.
Speaking of the news, Simon Wasley, Senior Land Manager at Denbury Homes said: “Homes England is one of the country’s largest land vendors so having faster, more streamlined access to sites and parcels they are selling will be a huge advantage to us as we pursue our ambitious growth plans.”
Denbury Homes, formerly known as Hopkins & Moore, has operated in the region for over 40 years. Since rebranding in 2022, following the sale of a sister company, Denbury Homes has quickly become established under its new name.
Currently building around 150 homes per year, Denbury Homes has developments in Thurston, Laxfield, Elmsett, Debenham and Witnesham in Suffolk and Mattishall in Norfolk. Developments in Little Easton and Layer de la Haye in Essex, and Eyke and Clare in Suffolk, will launch within the next year.
The company will also bring forward Bury St Edmunds’ Northern Neighbourhood along with a relief road for the town. This new community, to be known as St Edmunds Gate, will be a natural settlement extension, delivering sympathetically designed homes in a carefully chosen range of sizes and styles.
Simon continues: “We are enjoying a very exciting period of growth, targeting a significant increase in the number of homes we are delivering each year. With the recent announcement from Michael Gove that Homes England will parcel its land holdings to make sites more available to SME developers, it is certainly an exciting time to become an approved delivery partner.
“Being approved by Homes England recognises our focus on building the right homes in the right places and managing our projects well throughout the design, planning, procurement and build phases.
“We are looking forward to working with Homes England as well our extensive network of landowners and agents as we build on our success and expand further into neighbouring counties. If you have a land purchase opportunity you would like to discuss with us, do get in touch.”
