A new construction expo is launching in Suffolk – showcasing some of the biggest construction projects and business opportunities from across the region.
Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first BUILD Suffolk Expo at Wherstead Park on October 1.
The event brings together organisations involved in delivering the region’s major construction, infrastructure and development projects for a day of insight, collaboration and opportunity.
The Expo will include keynote addresses from a host of speakers, including the British Chambers of Commerce’s Director-General Shevaun Haviland, project updates from major infrastructure schemes along with a wide variety of expert panel discussions.
John Dugmore, Chief Executive at Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, said: “The East of England plays a huge role in the UK economy and has some of the largest infrastructure construction projects in the country currently underway.
“This event will shine a light on the businesses behind the region’s construction sector, celebrating their successes and forging new relationships and opportunities for the future.”
The event is being sponsored by Castons, Pick Everard, Artelia, Blackwell Earthmoving, Flannery, Civil Works Alliance, McCann, Suffolk New College, Construction Technical Excellence College, the University of Suffolk, East of England Co-op, Clean Energy Technical Excellence College and Construction Anglia.
Topics of discussion at the Expo will include bridging the skills gap, supply chain collaboration and resilience, social value and sustainability and national infrastructure investment and its lasting legacy.
The flagship event seeks to connect decision-makers, buyers and fellow businesses from across the region while building new relationships through dedicated networking and exhibition opportunities.
