Suffolk’s construction sector has come together to celebrate its successes at the Suffolk Joint Construction Committee (SJCC) Annual Dinner and Awards.
The evening welcomed hundreds of construction professionals to Trinity Park on October 7 to shine a light on the incredible work going on in the county’s construction sector.
The event highlighted outstanding craftsmanship, architectural design and apprentice achievement, with awards presented across a host of trades.
This year’s event also raised funds for two local charities, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and St Elizabeth Hospice.

Andy Laflin, Chair of the SJCC, said: “On behalf of the Suffolk Joint Construction Committee, I would like to thank everyone who supported our Annual Dinner and Awards.
“The event was a great success, recognising the outstanding achievements of individuals and companies across Suffolk while bringing the local construction community together to support important causes.
“Just as importantly, the evening raised money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and St Elizabeth Hospice.
“Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us support these vital local charities.”

After being welcomed to the event by Mr Laflin, guests were entertained by a mock Donald Trump voiceover appearance, with red baseball caps handed out bearing the slogan “Make Construction Great Again”.
Among the award winners were SJCC Apprentice of the year, Tom Keeble from Blue Door Construction, SJCC Site Manager of the Year Chris Crabtree from Gipping Construction Ltd and Interact Rising Star Jolene Mayhew from Denbury Homes.
