Construction work is now well underway on 300 new homes in Postwick, after developer Allison Homes visited the site to officially ‘break the ground’.

Situated off Smee Lane, The Oaks development will consist of two, three, four and five bedroom homes, and is set to launch in spring 2022.

The Oaks is the housebuilder’s first development in the region, and forms part of its wider expansion plans.

Edward Hendry, Commercial Director at Allison Homes, said: “We are very excited to have officially commenced work on our upcoming The Oaks development in Postwick.

“This ground breaking marks the start of another exciting project for Allison Homes. We’re delighted to be delivering much needed housing for local people and transforming this site into a thriving new community.

“This development plays an integral part in our growth plans, especially as we look to expand across East Anglia, whilst addressing the demands of local communities.”

Located on the Broads, The Oaks will provide residents with an idyllic village lifestyle, surrounded by miles of open countryside. For families, there are a range of highly-rated nurseries and schools for all ages in the local area.

Norwich city centre is just four miles away, and offers a host of award-winning shops, historic monuments, plenty of places to eat and drink, and a lively arts and music scene. For those looking for a day trip to the beach, Great Yarmouth is just over 18 miles away.

Excellently connected, The Oaks will have immediate access to the A47, which leads to the Midlands and east coast ports. Norwich International Airport is only three miles north, with regular flights across the UK and Europe. To find out more about The Oaks, visit
