Workman LLP has been appointed as property and estate managers on Gateway 14, the 2.36m sq ft business, logistics and innovation development at Stowmarket, Suffolk.
Workman will be responsible for the advising in relation to the formation of the estate management strategy and delivering the day-to-day management of Gateway 14, one of the largest ever developments in East Anglia and part of the newly approved Freeport East area Workman are experienced property managers and manage a number of large prestigious business parks across the UK.
The scheme, that was granted planning consent in October last year, is a development by Gateway 14 Ltd (wholly owned by Mid Suffolk District Council) and developer Jaynic, that has a strong track record for delivering high quality business and logistics parks on a speculative and bespoke basis in the East Anglian region.
Freeport East, is one of eight new Freeports in England that benefit from different tax and custom rules. In December 2021, Freeport East received approval for its outline business case and the Tax Site designation for Gateway 14 was approved meaning occupiers will be able to access the financial incentives immediately. Freeport East hopes to generate a Gross Value Added (GVA) of £5.5 billion and create up to 13,500 jobs for the area over 10 years.
Gateway 14 will deliver a range of opportunities for occupiers. New facilities will be available on a bespoke and speculative basis making it the ideal location for office, R&D, logistics and manufacturing users. The mixed-use park will comprise high-specification space, with potential to build E(g), B2 and B8 units.
