Anderson Project Manager, Alan Clarke has been recognised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) for excellence in on-site management at its annual Pride in the Job awards.
The accolade was for Alan and his team’s work on his site Faversham Lakes in Faversham, an impressive, imaginative and innovative development of 330 contemporary homes set in a 131-acre plot that includes a vast country park.
He said: “We have placed focus on building extremely well-designed homes that feel as good to live, grow up, and entertain in as they are to look at.
“We have expanded on this by enhancing existing community facilities and including further community elements in the plan.”
These include redeveloping the former Oare gunpowder works and bringing forward the listed building as a heritage centre along with supporting buildings including retail units.
Other community assets include a new scout troop headquarters, an extended car park for the local school and a community theatre.
Alan added: “I am thrilled to have received this award for mine and the wider site team’s role in this project. It means a lot, especially because it is one of our industries most prestigious award schemes.”
Now in its 41st year, a Pride in the Job award recognise site managers who demonstrate incredible dedication, passion, commitment and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality.
The competition is fully inclusive and representative of the UK house-building industry with four categories for different sized businesses: small, medium, multi-storey and large.
