Multi-award-winning contractor Anderson has announced two new contract wins totalling £12million.

The Chelmsford-based company has secured works at Elsenham and Coggeshall, both in Essex, which are now underway.

The first of the multi-million-pound contracts was awarded by Bloor Homes (Eastern) for Anderson to deliver Phase 1 infrastructure and groundworks to 85 units in Elsenham.

Anderson’s first engagement with Bloor Homes on the project was to deliver the initial S278 package, which involved the installation of a new access road and bellmouth to tie in to the existing Henham Road – the success of which helped the group win this contract.

Andrew Nowosad, Commercial Director of the Anderson Construction Business, said: “The delivery teams seized on this opportunity to impress and delivered on everything promised, demonstrating that it takes a great team effort to continually deliver a high level of quality while maintaining exceptional standards of health and safety. This gave Bloor confidence in Anderson’s ability to deliver the Phase 1 groundworks.

“Recognition must go to the commercial team. Working closely with Bloor, the team successfully navigated a complex tendering process enabling them to finally reach agreement on both scope and value.”

Alex Clark, Design and Technical Director at Bloor Homes (Eastern), said: “Our partnership with Anderson continues to expand and we’re pleased to be working with them on Phase 1 of the Henham Road project at Elsenham. Anderson’s delivery of the S278 package has been instrumental for us and we very much value the working relationship we have with the team there.”

The second of the new contract successes is the securing of Phase 1 infrastructure for new client, Countryside Partnerships (CSP), at London Road in Coggeshall.

CSP is part of the wider Vistry Group, working closely with local authorities, housing associations and investors to help deliver vibrant, sustainable homes.

Andrew added: “Securing the infrastructure and groundworks on Coggeshall Mill for Vistry (Eastern), put us in a good position to tender for the adjacent phase of works for CSP.

“Again, fantastic work by the delivery and commercial teams who continue to demonstrate that Anderson can deliver this initial infrastructure package at the best value.”

Verity MacMahon, Managing Director at Countryside Partnerships, said: “Anderson has made impressive progress on site at Coggeshall for both Countryside Partnerships and Vistry Homes Eastern.

“It has been apparent from the outset that the resource which Anderson has put to the project is of a high standard and there is a huge amount of activity on site. The whole team at every level is proactive, understands the way Vistry expect our sites to operate, and we are thoroughly pleased with the progress of the project.

“We look forward to building on the strong working relationship that we have forged between companies.”
