A market leader in noise reduction solutions is a finalist for a top industry award.
For the third year in a row, Echo Barrier, based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, has been selected for the shortlist of the Construction News Specialists Awards in the Equipment Supplier of the Year category.
Peter Wilson, founder and technical director of Echo Barrier, said: “These are the only national awards that recognise the best specialist contractors from across the UK so it’s an enormous achievement and we are thrilled to be singled out yet again.
“We place a huge amount of emphasis on the quality of our products and this allows us to maintain our position as market leaders.
“We would be thrilled to walk away with the win for this prestigious award. After all, we are exceptionally proud of all we have achieved and we believe our products make a tangible difference to so many across the world.”
Echo Barrier provides temporary acoustic barriers that can be erected around construction sites or used for live music events, which absorb sound to prevent noise pollution detrimentally affecting people who live or work in the vicinity.
They are already used by some of the world’s biggest construction companies and were credited with reducing building noise at the likes of the World Trade Centre in New York and on the London Underground.
Last year, Echo Barrier secured a transatlantic partnership which saw their award-winning products become more readily available across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
This allowed for wider distribution of their acoustic products to hundreds of locations across North America.
Echo Barrier has also opened a new manufacturing facility in Minnesota, a new depot in California and a huge expansion of its sales forces across the company.
The winners will be announced on 25 March 2020 at a glamorous ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London where more than 1,000 of the industry elite will join together for a night of entertainment, celebration and networking.
