Essex homebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties has announced that its new sites launching in 2021 will underpin over 3,700 jobs for local people.
The Chelmsford-based developer will bring a total of 1,883 new homes across its operational areas of Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, which will underpin 3,766 local jobs throughout the development process.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties predominately employs local sub-contractors and tradesmen – so local businesses and people will benefit directly from the jobs.
The homebuilder will be delivering 105 properties at its Riverside Grange development in North Fambridge, in addition to 298 new homes on the Barratt side of High Elms Park in Hullbridge.
Elsewhere, there will be a combined 1,365 properties coming to the Norfolk developments Wayland Fields, Woodland Heath and Cringleford Heights, whilst 115 homes will also be built at Abbots Green in Woolpit, Suffolk.
Simon Wood, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “Our new developments will provide much needed housing in these areas. This is also good news for the local economy with the local construction jobs underpinned by building the new homes.
“We aim to support local sub-contractors and tradesmen where possible to ensure the areas in which we build benefit directly from our developments.
“We’re looking forward to seeing 2021 progress and our team at Barratt and David Wilson Homes will take great satisfaction in helping more customers take their first or next step on the property ladder.”
Barratt and David Wilson Homes currently has homes available in Essex at High Elms Park in Hullbridge, Riverside Grange in North Fambridge, Blackwater Reach in Southminster, Corinthian Place in Burnham-on-Crouch and St Andrew’s Gate in Halstead.
