GBS Builders Ipswich LTD has partnered with Wates, one of the largest privately-owned construction, development and property organisations in the UK, to help deliver building services at the new Ormiston Endeavour high school in Ipswich, which will cater for around 900 students once completed.
Previously known as Thurleston, the new building at Ormiston Endeavour High School has been built on the existing tennis courts and will feature 30 new classrooms including science labs, music rooms, drama space, a state-of-the-art IT suite, kitchen, dining and activity halls.
The second phase will entail the demolition of the old building, with a multi-use outdoor sports facilities centre created in its place.
GBS will be working on the refurbishment of the existing school with Wates, including creating doorways and knock throughs, plastering and decorating.
Joe Garnham, Managing Director of GBS said: “We’re thrilled to be working with prestigious contractors Wates on this local project that will make such a huge difference to the existing and future students of this school.”
GBS is a family-run Ipswich based construction company, operating nationwide, with more than 30 years of experience in fire protection, diamond drilling, commercial building, health & safety and asbestos removal.
